(St. Thomas) — After much consideration, Bolongo Bay Beach Resort has made the decision to remain closed through June 30.

We’re anxious to reopen our doors and welcome guests back.

Our primary concern is with the well being of our guests, employees and their families, as well as our community at large.

At this time, we have determined that postponing our opening is the best decision for us.

We want to reopen when we can offer a full range of experiences, amenities and services that makes a vacation at Bolongo Bay so special.

To our guests who were anticipating arriving this June; we apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.

July 1st is our definite date for re-opening.

“Our primary concern is with the well being of our guests, employees and their families, as well as our community at large.”

The Government of the Virgin Islands has done a great job of flattening the curve. Since shutting down tourism to our islands in late-March, the U.S. Virgin Islands has succeeded in preventing community transmission.

Through initiatives like contact tracing and closing travel to the territory, we have been able to avoid the serious outbreaks seen in many places across the world. We’re grateful to the Department of Tourism for their continued support and assistance.

As we work to reopen our tourism economy, we want to be smart and make sure that we provide safety and enjoyment for our guests and staff, and believe this is the right choice to make.

Thank you,

Bolongo Bay Beach Resort Management.
